ItaPRIESTLEYOf Mercer Crescent, Helmshore, passed away on April 11 at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 65 years. Ita was a nurse (retired) at Burnley General Hospital, formerly Rossendale Hospital. Ita enjoyed gardening, her allotment, jigsaws, volunteering for Rossendale Hospice and talking newspapers. Wife to Mick and mother to sons Christopher and James. A service will be held on Friday, May 3 at Burnley Crematorium at 12.15pm, conducted by Neil Overton. No flowers, donations to Rossendale Hospice. Ita will be missed by her son Christopher and his wife Kirsty, her son James and his wife Sarah, her grandchildren and her siblings Ursula, Teresa, Mel, Nicholas and Richard and husband Mick. Ita, my dear friend for over 30 years. So many happy and funny memories I have with you. We would laugh on our weekends away because we would find you talking to anyone and everyone. So caring about others. You were a very special person Ita. Rest peacefully xx

Ita, you were taken far too quickly, and I still can't believe that I'll never get to see you again.
I look forward to hearing about you in stories, lovingly told by the many people who adore you. And I will think of you fondly every time I ask to see the wine 'list'.
