It's with very great sadness I have learned of the passing of Don Scollick. I worked with Don 1975-1979 at Halidays Chemist where he trained me to be a Pharmacy Technician. I could not have asked for a better mentor. Don was extremely generous with his time and his kindness was beyond measure. Don genuinely cared for people and would always do his best to help everyone. He was highly respected within the local community. Exceptionally intelligent and well read, there was many a time when local doctors would call to ask his advice. I have not forgotten the day I heard Don explaining to a customer why we were unable to provide the medication prescribed because giraffes had been eating all the leaves from the Eucalyptus trees, or when he chased a known drug addict around the Forum for stealing from the shop…More recently, a chance encounter with Don enabled us to reconnect this time as friends. We met once or twice a year for lunch. Don was a wonderful raconteur and very knowledgeable about practically any subject you could think of. A living encyclopaedia. Don was immensely proud of his sons and would talk of them often. I will miss Don’s wonderful company. An amazing human being. A great loss to the local community and everyone who knew him. Thank you for everything you gave me Don. Rest in peace... X

I will fondly remember Mr Scollick as a very kind, knowledgeable pharmacist at the Forum Chemist. He was also fond of a good natter when I used to serve him at the Forum Post Office. My love and condolences go out to his family at this sad time

Don Scollick was a very much appreciated pharmacist when he worked at the Coop chemist on the forum at North Hykeham for many years.
