The obituary notice of Elizabeth Anne TURNER (nee Munro)

Anne had an infectious smile and was always warm and friendly when I saw her. I will always remember her proudly showing me round Cambridge when I was a child and the lovely wedding day (where I spent much of the time collecting conkers!).

Sadness indeed in losing a good friend of many years. I shall miss our frequent catch ups via email, text and in person. Anne's endurance over ill health was amazing. Always positive and cheerful and hoping for good results throughout the processes she went through.

I first met Anne when I joined the University of Cambridge in 1984 and for a time we worked closely together. Anne was a good friend, charming and always had a lovely smile. She was very intelligent and wrote the most beautiful letters. After I retired from the University in 2002 (many years before Anne) and eventually moved to West Sussex, I always looked forward to receiving her hand written letters and cards.

Rest in peace Anne – you will never be forgotten.
