David Leonard (Retired Paramedic)WHOTTON (Dave)It is with great sadness that we announce that unexpectedly but peacefully, Dave passed away in the loving arms of his family on Wednesday 17th April 2024 whilst in the amazing care of the Amethyst Ward at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby, aged 76 years. Dave was the dearly loved husband of Elizabeth (Bib), adored dad of Hayley and Andrew, loving son of the late Tom and Marjorie, beloved father-in-law of Gary and Lottie, proud and treasured grandad of Evie, much loved brother of Barry and the late Pete, special brother-in-law of Brenda, a loving uncle and cousin and special uncle to Kirsty and Cori. Dave was much loved by Cherri and Chris, Poppy and Vitalijs, Stevie, Frankie and Peaches and was shown much love and kindness by extended family in Grimsby and Devon. Dave was also a respected friend and neighbour and he will be very sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A true gentleman who always had a smile for everyone.
A service to celebrate Dave's life will take place on Tuesday 7th May 2024 at 3pm at Grimsby Crematorium. Mourning dress optional.
Family flowers only please but donations in lieu, if so desired, will be gratefully received for Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance in Dave's memory. A donation box will be available at the service.
